HandsOn Suburban Chicago, United Way, and Elk Grove and Mt Prospect Walmarts teamed up to engage shoppers in their “Fill the Bus” service initiative.  On Sunday, August 3 at the  Elk Grove and Saturday, August 9 at the Mt. Prospect store locations,  Walmart patrons were encouraged to fill the bright yellow school buses parked outside by purchasing pre-filled backpacks and other school supplies that will be donated to students in District 21 and District 59 who need these supplies to have a successful year!

Our thanks to the many volunteers who donated their time and the generous patrons whose donations support their community and uplift their students.

Grand Prairie Transit donated the buses for each event and promoted available driver job opportunities within the company.
